Everyone hating on superchargers. Drag cars that don't have to be streetable can run sick boost and have gobs of torque from idle. In a race where .001 seconds can make the difference between winning and losing the supercharger takes it with 0 lag.

But running 20lbs while idling is not going to work too well on a street car. Turbo is the way to go for our cars, but we have to give props to the superchargers though.

There is a Dyno graph somewhere on of it at 10psi. Right now it runs like poop because my compressor wheel is half gone. MY e-manage maps are also on here somewhere. I just got back from the gym and I am to lazy to look it up.

@14psi I estimate 270hp

Easily.

I'm running a T3/T4, .48, .57 trim and everyone's butt-dyno says 300+. I'll have some dyno numbers in a week or so after I get a proper tune (running a "street tune" now).

14 psi is not out of the efficiency range of your current turbo. are u looking for more power or do you feel that your in the danger zone with your turbo? just want to get an idea of your thinking as i run 17 psi on my str8 t3 and by no means is the car a slouch. if your looking to upgrade tho, i myself have my eye on the gt32 from ams...............

The main reason that I am shopping for a new turbo is that the compressor wheel on my turbo is slowly disintigrating. I have no Idea what is going on I am sure it is shaft play and it is scraping against the housing but, it looks funky. I Have the option of rebuilding this turbo, which I have been very happy with or spending a little more and buying a shiney new GT32.

You can have your compressor upgraded for around $200.

i'm running a str8 t3, .48/.42 with a 5 bolt flange. would a gt32 be a direct replacement? how much bigger is it in actual size?

If you order the 5 bolt option, it should be. I believe the turbine housings are similar (if not identical) in size/shape.

^ But dont quote me on that.

I'm running a AMS GT32, for the price, it spoils up real fast and nice. I start building boost at about 2700-3000. I can hit 15 psi in first gear. It might be slightly diff on yours. I'm running slightly bigger pipes and some crower cams.
