Also wheelie pics dont mean ****. I have seen RWD Toyota Corollas lifting the wheels with N/A Rotary engines. The QRT mile: 13sBTW keeping your wheels on the ground as much as possible is what you want to do. Wheelies = horrible ETs

But American cars were built for drag. There factory parts (Daton/Ford 9' rears ect) were built to a much higher standard. Heavy and strong with the extra weight came better grip so American Muscle owns the Qrt mile and I dont have a problem saying it. But I personaly want overall great car. With a 1.1G rating and a 11s in the Qrt Mile also having full interior and some sweet looking aero (nothing facy pants) and I will definitly call it a day.

PS VQ>JZMaybe not now, but the JZ has seen its best days. The VQ is making some SERIOUS power. Also with the potential for larger displacement I would definitly jump on the VQ train.

That's cool buddy, but that's a pic from a wheel stand comp. not a drag race. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IQ0Ww86DrI

An "n/a rotary" corolla could totally make it half track with its front wheels off the ground.

I would like to know what REALLY got you into 240sx's. I still remember when i first started talking with Isaac, he had a friend David who said they were ugly and worthless and now here you are being all nut happy and acting like you know all about them. So when did you get on the bandwagon?

and what about this BS mod list i have? lol your a tool

as far as the 2JZ into the coupe goes. IF you want. Next year at Road America the MFBA rents out hte track for the weekend. if you would like to come along and get your junkyard Ka-t owned by a girl driven S13 coupe then feel free. then the next weekend we could go to GLD and you can get your *** ran around there as well. Don't be jelous or pissy your stuck doing a junkyard setup.

Oh and as far as the Z31-T i had. Yeap that car was a peice yet i still miss it.Oh and i sold the car for $1000 which at last check that was $1000 more then i paid for the car. hmmmmm good buy wasen't it?

Also the motor they got the car running with was a DIFFERANT MOTOR out of his rusted *** Z31-Turbo.

as far as doing work to cars. What have you done so far? I've done 12hr bookjobs on VR6 Jettas, I've pulled more BBC and SBC then i can shake a stick at, i've pulled 2 240sx motors/trans. Done head swaps on hondas. I've done quite a bit. Because your still going off info from what 4 years ago you think i'm still the same? hahaha get a life.

When i met isaac his car was at your dads garage? So how is it possible he told you about me when he met you and didn't even know me? And i did think his first 240 he had was a pile, i tell him that whenever it comes up. I don't claim to know anything more than anyone else. I just don't bs and try and make myself out to be something i'm not. What's it matter what got me into 240's? I'm in to CARS not into just 240's or nissans. But if you MUST know i bought it spur of the moment. I was skating at the skatepark and miguel asked if i was looking for a car which i was and he said a grand for it and i drove it, and i drove good so i bought it. That's really all there was to it. You used to always **** talk to everyone, that kid with the chevelle, jordan z, everyone making promises of your z31 that was gonna kick all their asses and never delivered. You seemed proud of the fact that in high school all you did was **** talk about everyones car.... didn't quite understand that one.And isaac told me a story i found a bit humerous.....you and him went to go look at that nismodave guys 240 and he asked you something and the conversation went something like this.... nismodave-so did you get those twin turbo 300zx pistons in your car you were telling me about?you- *suprised look* um.. yeahisaac- *gives you a ****ed up look*you- *nod to him*hahaha i didn't make that up either. came straight from his mouth. So if you have all this knowledge about working on cars, and all of that then why is it you randomly call isaac asking him **** like how to take off a fender?haha or asking for help with your shift boot and you like messed up the button to shift out of park or something of that liking....

I could go on and on but like i said, not really worth it. I don't want to be your enemy, nor your friend. I just plain don't respect those who lie about things like owning cars, or doing stuff to their cars, and bs like that. It's just pathetic to me honestly. And posting all these pictures of your girlfriends car .... don't quite get that one either not that i really care, i just wonder why not buy your own? 240's are a dime a dozen, coupes too....

Nice to hear how you bought and you turned it into something that could be decent.

Oh and i was DECENT friends with Alex (kid with Chevelle) and Jordan Z. LONG before you were around. **** i still talk to Alex. And as far as Jordan? Don't get me started on that guy, And your right my Z never really ended up delievering.....kind of like 99% of the car people in this area. And when the **** did you know me in highschool or how i acted? **** was what 3 years now? lol.

As far as the Z32TT Pistons. I talked to the guy i was going to pick them up but he ended up saying that one of them had a blemish on teh dome.so i didn't want to chance it and was going to find some other ones but never felt like it.

And i'm sorry i called Isaac asking for help he has only had what 8? S13's now so he has touched every ****ing part of them so i figured he had more experiance and could tell me the right way to do it. but needless to say i got the **** done myself without much help on his end. correct me if i am wrong but don't you and Isreal call him when you have a question about the car as well? yeah now whose calling the kettle black.

As far as posting pic's of Liz's car. it's pretty much a combined project. both of us putting money in where we can.

And you say i should buy one myself? Nah, i'll pass like you said there a dime a dozen. just waiting for the right car to come sailing in and there we go. And liz doesn't get on here or any other forum so it's not like she gives two ****s, actually you seem to be the only one that cares? why is that?

when i talked to you one time i remember you saying all you did in school was read car magazines and talk **** about everyones cars. why you told me that i don't know. Isrrael, Isaac, and I **** with eachothers cars every other day. we help eachother out regardless of who asks who. I've had to fix ****ed up wiring on his and isrraels cars, people into these cars hack the **** out of the wiring. We hang out like everyday, and we've all fondled basically every aspect of eachothers cars.

Same here, why put a toyota engine into nissan? If you want a 2JZ buy a supra.. Of course alot more money then a 240 but still.. I also don't understand why people put LS motors into their 240's, its kind of an embarassment (IMO IMO IMO) to put an American engine into a Jap car, since its always has been a battle between imports vs domestics. I know LS are more reliable and torquey etc, but keep those engines where they belong in Camaros, corvettes etc... If you want an LS1 buy a camaro. Yes LS1 are alot more powerful then SR20s but you can make an SR20 just as good as LS1 with more money, maybe not as reliable but very close to it (with a good tune etc) but you won't dissapoint your cars rep. Not even mentioning the good old KA, where if rebuild with quality parts (Arias, crower, etc) and with a good ol' big turbo it and good tune a KA would be as reliable as most LS motors. (taking this from many KA-T.org topics how their 500whp KA's go 400-600 miles trips on mountains and down back without a problem) and Ivan's KA where he drives to another state to drag, drags and drives back with no problems ata ll his nasty *** car.

Putting a non nissan engine into a nissan chassis just shows that nissan engines are "worthless" IMO.

This above is all just my opinion and I know nobody gives a damn I thought I'd post it

Honestly it all comes down to $$$ How much would it cost for a 500WHP SR20DET to be reliable? or how about a 500WHP KA-T? Cause when you start thinkin about it a heads and cam LS1 with a good tune will be well over 400WHP and with a LITTLE shot it will be far past the 500hp mark and you won't have to worry about anything. Or hell 500WHP is a bolt on 2JZ. And even then your only spending 6ish on a 400whp 2JZ into a S13. and about the same for a 400whp LS1 car. It's all about what you want. And to think of it. When you get to the 500-600whp SR/KA your about topped out for power. hell a small turbo kit on a LS1/LT1 is well over 700whp. Or a Medium single on a 2J is over 700whp. It's all on the money you want to spend and how much power, and of course the "OH" factor.

Boy, this sure has turned into a heated discussion that hits all over the map haha.

More of my opinions and experience involving some of the topics hit here.As far as some of the "build it yourself" discussion. I'm a full supporter of building your own car, but some people don't have the tools, or facilitys to do so. I myself will go out of my way to insure that my hands are on as much of my build as I can. Which will be everything aside from the actual machine work. Then you have those that are just to stupid to do it. A good example of this type is my nephews father and his brother. We'll call him J. J bought a 96 Integra LS. He shortly found that he wanted to be in the local street racing scene, which for the most part is comprised of your typical Honda owning fan bois. He decided that an LS/Vtec was the way to go. I used to be elbows deep in Honda, so I'm fairly well versed in the doings up until the last 8 or so last years of developments. I told him everything he needed to know about it.

He decided he wanted to take it to a local shop, which is an authorized Hondata distributer/tuner. They had a few in house built CRX drag queens. They built his motor using B16 pistons, the stock B18B block, and a GSR head. They did the typical ghetto fabulous oil ling tee, and put it all together. I told him to make sure they replaced the dizzy and the oil pump with the GSR units. Needless to say they didn't, and he didn't press the issue. So with the Hondata, and the LS oil pump, it dropped oil pressure every time Vtec was hit. It killed the engine. Same people rebuilt it again, and he went on to become the car to beat for a while. We argued frequently about how he cannot take credit for the car as he had no hand (aside for his money forking hand) in the build. We stopped talking.

Every venture I take in my automotive life is a solitary one. I don't go to meets, I don't run with a crowd, and I don't go to the known "street racing" spots in search of cheap thrills. Nobody helps me build my car, in fact I am the only person thus far that has touched anything on it since I've owned it. I have fun with your typical stop light to stop light pissing contests that are over by third gear, and never reach speeds of more than 50mph or so. I always speed on the high way, but I don't do the retarded weave races. My fun is found in the middle of a rain storm, when people are too afraid to look away from the road to notice me sliding around like an idiot, and it's worked out for me this far.

Back to the point. Most people just don't know how or care how to do it. All they want is the end result. The status if you will. Few of us want the pride of knowing that our know how and ability with a wrench has gotten us here. That's that.

The SR20 is the B16 is the 4G63 is the Small block Chevy Etc.All over rated. Great motors in each respect, and all have been proven. It's the easiest and most popular route therefor over rated. Just like the Honda kids drop a B16 and think that it's the fastest thing in the world, a lot of 240 owners do the same thing with the SR. Like I stated, I'm a fan of the underdog. I choose the KA over the Sr, I choose the D16A6 over the B16. I hate most American motors so I wont even go there. I still fell 100% confident that I could for under 3000 dollars build a 400 hp turbo D16 that would put most to shame. Never followed through with it though.

I've found that at one point, there was a very strong and informative community in the Honda world. I've watched it pulsate over the past 8 years, dumb idiots water down the mix, asking the same questions over and over. The Nissan world is no different. Aside for the fact that you wont find near the in depth technical information on a KA as you well the more popular engines even though it's obviously a true contender in every aspect.

I don't remember the point of all this typing, I'm going to post it anyway so I don't feel like my time has been wasted typing haha.

sorry to bring this thread back..but i have to answer some of these dumb questions by some of ya's..

1) i was one of the first person to race KA-t since the mid 90s...but like most people in life, i moved forward to do bigger and better things..some of you guys are complaining how you're broke and cant do this or that..well, get off your *** and try to do something better!! stop ****ing whining!!

2) why not put the 2JZ in a supra?? well i already have a 9 second street supra..i run 9s on 18 drag radials..everyone expects a supra to go fast..but im a nissan 240 fan at heart..like i said i been racing 240's since the mid 90s, and this is my 5th 240s...as a matter i also own a 98 240 SE!!!!

3) and about the KA-T?? im a die-hard KA fan.. let me remind some of you NOOBS that my KA-T 240 ran 10.8@131 mph back in 2001...but like i said before....i wanted to move forward go as fast as i can and not be limited by the motor..( as an example, why would you want to spend all your energy at some job that you know wont get you very far, when there is another job right around the corner that will get you further in life or make you more money)....i can bet you guys that i still have 1 of the most powerful KA-T around !!!!!!! that motor is sitting in my buddy' car..it is put away for future use! it made 560hp on stock cams@ 33 psi..i didnt run more boost cuz the cams were choking the motor...the motor now has custom crower cams and a 100 shot of nitrous on tap!! i even have a chevy th350 transmission with a custom adapter kit and torque converter for the motor!!

hope this answers some of those dumb questions above....and some of ya can flame me all you want....been there done that!!!!!!
