Ever?

NICO's founder ran in the high 12's for a couple runs.

It may not be a Q, but it was part of one...

I've heard of and know a fellow who built up a VH45DE to run 8s.

your question is a bit open ended....as a SC, turbo....and most easily NOS all can really affect the numbers.

Just wait about 2 months and I will post my numbers from my modified naturally aspirated Q....currently...stock it was 15.8 @ 88mph....goal is under 14 secs.

I have a '97 with "slightly" modified intake and aftermarket muffler, not sure if they helped the performance though. Tires are a little larger than stock (225-60-16 vs. 215-60-16). Fastest time I measured with a G-Tech in Houston air, 60 deg-F, was 7.48s 0-60, 15.68s @93.xx 1/4 mile.

The 90 Q were recorded at 14.8/97 at cold sea level with 7200 rpm in 2nd gear with a loud exhaust and JWT ecu/tcu......fresh engine and transmission.

Many 90 stock made 15.1-15.2/93-94 at cold sea level when new just hitting stock rev limiter [6900 rpm].

Most don't get a good launch because of harder than oem 170 treadwear index tires and slowly progressive increases in 1st to 2nd shift as transmission wears.

The only under 14 second [13.9/104] Q I saw had JWT 75 shot..tweeked to 100 shot of Nox with very loud exhaust and a 4.083 diff gear.......not enough tire for the sudden torque........245/45/17........needed 275-295 on rear.

Those are good times. but i guess the Q really shines from a roll or on the highway and not at the strip.

Hopefully by the end of the summer both myself and Rob will be running low 14s or high 13s (naturally aspirated w/out NOS) which may be slightly optimistic... but none-the-less possible.

I wish there was a writeup or more info on the BAD Q... what a tight piece of work.

There were 2 "B.A.D. Q's".

One is currently owned by Fred (palmerwmd) and is a beautiful 94, green/tan, with 4.08's, race gas fuel cell, Level 10 trans, JWT ECU and NOS, rolling on 18 and 17" staggered alloys.

The other was recently purchased by yours truly. It's a pretty well-worn '92 that was the test mule for the supercharger kit (which is still intact). It will be arriving in Phoenix in July or August and will be "sacrificed" to the gods of boost in the pursuit of completing the SC project. Then it will become parted-out NICO fodder (or a tax-deductible donation). :)
