i researched real quick and didn't find anyone using this on their 240sx.

anybody use this? any comments? good/bad ?

obvious advantages are better brake torque and better heat dissipation

do you just use the stock sliding caliper? looks kind of pointless if you do.

Not real great on the cost/benefit ratio. What front brakes are you running?

I'm confused. Seems like it would make your brakes work harder right? I mean it would just have more weight to stop....

no.. it actually makes sence...

1- larger rotor : - more heat dissipation - larger pad contact radius

2- increass in brake torque: imagine yourself spinning a bike wheel and trying to stop it by putting your hand near the hub (good luck and .. ouch) now imagine putting your hand on the tire and stopping it from spinning.. less effort and less stress

now.. i do have a 180sx .. so front brakes are slightly larger. they say minimum requierements up front is q45 brake as to not mess up brake bias

What size rotors do you have up front?

Q45s are 11inch rotors.. those are 12s.. would look funny. and disrupt bias.

180sx brakes are also 11'' up front.. put you get a larger pad surface..

with this kit .. you keep the same pad surface on the rear.

yea ... your right .. would look weird.. but it kinda balances out.. no?

Pads will overhang, less friction surface will be used over stock rotor. Not worth the upgrade.

You should check out the Z31 bracket with 03 Atlima rear rotor upgrade. I did it, no overhang with stock pad.

What do you use your car for?

z32 brakes (front and rear) with stainless lines and high performance pads are plenty for most s chassis. The rear 11.2 inch z32 rotor types are even good for high-horsepower track use.

For a bit more you can source some Z brakes. To me it sounds like that would be a better option if you don't mind the extra hassle.
