Well I just bought some new tires so i'm moving on to the next thing to fix on my s14. I bought the car with some 2.5" exhaust piping header back (deleted the cat completely) to some kind of tanabe muffler that was hung by an exhaust shop. It frankly sounds like crapping in a bucket and was wondering what I could do to get that raspy sound gone. Aftermarket catalytic converter or the oem square resonator? Thanks folks

A resonator placed as close to the muffler is the best thing you can do to your exhaust system. Doesnt need to be OEM, just get an aftermarket one.

Also you should definitely run a cat.
