So this 'vert forum is now about 18 months old. In that time we've got over 10 pages of threads. Lot's of fantastic and useful information!

I think we've come to a point where there are so many threads, that it can be challanging to find some of the more useful threads that may be very valuable to new members.

Also, with the creation of the new web site, we may see more and more new member's

I think it's time to create a single sticky thread at the top of the forum. That thead should contain FAQ's or How-To threads as well as links to some of the more informative threads in our past.

I've been working on this idea for a while and I have some suggestions for threads to link..

Does anyone else have any other threads that were particularly helpful to them or informative for them? Please post a link to that thread.

Also... We should build out some more how-to articles. 1.) 5 spd swap.... (all the info is in the link above, but it would be great if someone would consolidate that into a step by step guide with pictures!)2.) Door swap... (AZHitman did a great how-to on converting the 'vert door to make couple panels fit. But, some people will choose to do a door swap instead... Can someone do a step by step guide...)3.) Replacing the top... (Has anyone done a top replacement by themselves? If you are planning to do one... please do a step by step teaching guide for others to read. Take lot's of pics as you go along.)4.) Rear window replacement... (there is a thread somewhere about this... i didn't find it... talks about what kind of vinyl or plastic to use, and how to replace it. 5.) fixing/repairing rear window guides and motors. 6.) fixing/repairing the top motor.

Once we have some of this stuff packaged and presented, let's link it to the new website to really increase the value of that site.

Hey Eikon,

Thanks for all your effort here. I've been doing some simple mods (fog lights in the vent area and power antenna replacement) and have been taking picture along the way. I haven't posted anything yet because I wasn't sure if it was already covered but I'll be happy to document, photograph and send any mod I do.

Would you rather I post it to the forum or sendit to an email address?

We have a very broad variety of members here. Some have no interest in modding and are looking for just the basic maintenance info, some are new to modding cars and are very interested in basics simple stuff (fog lights, antenna's, etc..), and some of course are looking for more advanced things (5 spd swap, engine upgrades, turbo kits, etc..).

Trust me... there is demand for all levels of info. I greatly appreciate the hard work you do to bring your knowledge to the forum to share with everyone else! Thanks!

In fact... Next time someone does an oil change at home... How about doing a write-up with some pictures. I bet there are a lot of visitors that would like to do that at home and have never learned how or never built up the confidence to try it.

i'm really good about doing nearly everything myself and do all levels of maintenance and moddification. the near future holds a diff swap, a 5 speed swap, and i have plans for replacing the windshield. i just put a flip out monitor in a few days ago and some strut bars and a hardwired fuzz buster in as well not too long ago. in the not so near future i'll be doing a full sr20/5speed swap and a door swap probably within a year or so. but most of this stuff is covered in the general 240 forums. however, if you want them specifically for a vert and done on a vert, i'll be able to do them as i go along. hopefully i'll be of some more use here.

If you could take lots of pictures and do a numbered step by step instructional how-to article for each project... that would be outstanding!!!

If it's something that already exists in gen. 240 and is not 'vert specific... don't worry so much (ie. windsheild replacement).

But it would be great to have more pics for 5 spd swap, SR swap, diff swap, door swap, etc..

I would love to brag to the other moderators about the 'vert forum being the best on NICO!!
