is it cool to take off the fan hooked up to the engine not the radiator fan but the main 1 if its intercooled

I don't really understand your post... but you can remove the cluch fan if you replace it with an electric fan. You need at least one fan to cool the radiator.

The intercooler is strictly for cooling the air charge from the turbo. The fan attached to the motor pulls in air cooling the water flowing through the radiator. There is another fan attached to the AC condensor, which also looks like a radiator. This comes on when the AC is engaged because the motor is under more of a load.

You should leave both installed and functional. You can remove the engine mounted fan, or clutch fan by its proper name, only if you install a set of electric fans or one big single fan.
