In extremely hot weather,in stop and go traffic it could cause you problems.How hot are you talking about ,boiling coolant out hot?

well the one i had was broken so i took it off until i could get a new one. was just wondering if it would cause me any problems

Since it's not a 100 degrees right now i don't think you need to worry.

ive had my shroud off for about a year now and hasnt overheated or gone above normal temp... so i guess you should be ok.
