O.k. So I have an 89 240 with the stock belt driven fan. I've had overheating problems now from the time I got it about 6 years ago. I never had to drive very far to work so I didnt worry about it until a couple weeks ago when I started a new job far, far way. I already changed water pump, thermo, fan clutch, did a proper air bleed and checked for any leaks in hoses... The fan clutch I changed a couple years ago and it seemed to go out again because It started running hot after just a couple minutes instead of 10 miles or so. It was very weak (I could stop it with my hand) so I changed it today and it's not much better! Belt is tight and I tightened it even more incase. I'm not sure that this is the main problem but now I can't even drive it! I'm going to try to flush the system tomorrow but i just doubt that will do much. Any help would be great!
