sorry for the late response. the clutch fan pulls the ac fan in which causes them to stop. i'd really appreciate it if someone could help me out.ca18detgabby wrote:are you talking about the clutch fan and acc fan?
The big one with the shiny metal piece is your radiator fan and the metal piece is called the fan clutch. It goes out. The smaller one in front is for the AC condenser. That by itself isn't big enough to keep the car cool, it is there so you have a/c cold air at an idle.s13importuner7 wrote:ok let me clear up some confusion. my dad said they were the clutch and ac fan. i thought he was wrong but w.e he said to put it. you guys tell me. here are some pics of the two fans. as you can see in the second and third pic the smaller one is behind the larger one.
that would be extremely helpful. now that i know what they do. does anybody know what the problem is though?Beems240sx wrote:did you figure it out yet? if you didnt i could swing by this weekend and look at it with you. if you want

But I know that on my car the AC fan goes on the frontside of the radiator because it PUSHES air and the clutch fan is attached to the engine and sucks air.
I could be off, but isnt that AC fan on the wrong side of the radiator????
If its pushing, and the clutch fan is sucking,......then the AC fan is puching at the clutch fan and its getting sucked in.
Take that AC fan out of there.thats someones stupid wanna b after market mod that just blocks air flow and disrupts the amount of air the clutch fan sucks through.
