What do i have to do in order to remove the crank driven fan? Ive seen waaaaaaaay to many pictures of 240/silvias with no stock fan on it but also no electric fan, what gives?

Unbolt it from the water pump pulley. 4 10mm bolts I think.Probably easier to take the fan off, then the clutch.

I'm running the stock electric fan, wired it to the ACC2 relay, so it's always on. No issues all through TX summers.

If you aren't pushing it too hard, especially if you only have a KA, it shouldn't be a huge issue as long as the elctric is on. the main deally with it is probably idling more than anything, especially if its been running hot because there wont be any air circulating on its own. That seems to be the main point behind fans anyways. You do have to realize though that cooler engine bay = cooler air = more hp.

I have had the temp rise on my KA-T when I was pushing it hard with the stock electric fan. I eventually put on a GM electrical fan but I believe my problem was I needed a bigger radiator because I had it happen a few times more.
