fan clutch

ok im have problems with my fan clutch i broke my old one and it made one hell of a mess so i fixed it all and put a new fan cluch and fan in and i keep check the fan clutch and it really starten to wiggle now and i dont want it to brake again so any one got any advice to help cause it really pissen me off. and ever time i rev the fan hits the fan shrud a lil bit and i now its ganna get worse and i need some help me plzz

its a 1989 nissian 240sx single over head cam 2.4L , auto trans

that's pretty straightforward to switchout a fan clutch... mebbe the water pump shaft is goin... how was it like when u had it disassembled?

i put in a used fan clutch that was about done for and when i had the 50 buck to buy a new one i did and put it ion along with a new water pump the old one wasnt worken as good. and now my new fan clutch has alot of wobble in it is that good? and it sound like it hits the fan shurd a lil when i rev it

no way is that good... you're going to shred the fan blades or worse...

how's the bolts holding on to the water pump flange? any of them stripped?

something's majorly wrong here... too bad u r too far away for me to come check it personally...

none of the bolts are striped at all but 1 or 2 of them if i try to take the nuts off the hole stud will come out. im ganna take it buy the shop and talk to the guy maybe he can see why this keep happen

aha! that's the problem

i mean, it only has a total of 4 small studs/nuts there... & that thing's spinning @ engine rpms... it'll be worse if u kept going like that

the new fan clutch / water pump didn't come w/ bolts?

i'd just use them instead of the stoopid studs; cut to exact length w/ a dremel cutoff wheel...

heck arent those aftermarket waterpump/ fanclutches carry a lifetime warranty w/ receipt?

if the pump's flange holes r stripped, best get a new one w/ matching bolt threads & lock washers... GL!

the fan clutch came with new bolts . and the water pump can with new bolt to bult it on to the motor it self and new stud for the pull and ty for helpen me
