I have 2 KA24DE and they both are jacked. one wont go past 2400 rpms (guestimate) and the other goes up to 3000 some times and just bounces right back down. the 3000 one is temperamental it'll run smoothely for 10 seconds or so then it'll go right back to topping at 3000.

Help me, somebody I'm lost [IMG][IMG][/IMG]

yeah, my ka24e seems to have the same problem. Sometimes in 3rd and 4th gear, it will only tach till around 4000rpm. It seemed like it was hitting the rev limiter, but it wouldnt let me give it ANY gas after that.. i have to just down shift. Any ideas on what that could be?

my ka24e did that ... it would go to about 5000rpms and stop... in any gear... i think we messed up when putting the timing chain back on.. oh well, it's gone to a new home now..

that happend to me also. my car wouldn't go any faster then 15mph. i think i solved it when i replaced my faulty catalytic converter. the second time it happened to me was when my gas ratio to seafoam wasn't equal.

Have you checked your ecu for codes?

I know that if you are in fail safe mode w/ the maf sensor disconnected, the car will not rev past 2400 or 2500 rpm.
