Is it true that a really heavy rain can set off a sensitive car alarm?

Depends on what kind of alarm system you have. If my subs that are only pushing 150watts a piece can set off an alarm that is 4 cars away then i think a heavy rain can. Actually I"ve seen some alarms goign off here in florida when those big storms come in.You know the ones where you can't see your headlights so you go driving and the second you see you just start sliding.Not much tread wear
