I have been driving 240s for the last 4 years . it seems lately my baby is dying on me ... things are going out one after the other !!! In the past it has always been serviced at Nissan and the parts are mostly all original. I keep up on my oil changes and when I went in today I was very surprised when the mechanic showed me I had no oil in the motor for him to drop !!! after he let out a few drops the oil light in the car went on !!! I pretty much only wash my car and put gas in it .... I am a girl !!! lolI think I will soon be selling my car ... it is too old ... too small ... I have always hated the uncomfortable feeling in my ankle driving for hours with heels because of how the gas is positioned ... has no a/c ...starter is too expensive (along with all other parts).... and has a dent on the passenger quarter .My husband says I should keep it because its paid for & it is worth fixing however he does not drive it ( I think he is going mad thinking I will be driving his Impala all the time) If I do get rid of my 240 I would be interested in a convertible Seabring .... Damn I know a few of you have smoke coming out of your ears thinking Seabring over a 240 .... please be gentle lolWhy has my car taken such a liking to oil ... where has it gone- its not on my driveway???? Should I be keeping my 240 for a few more years? timing chains, clutch, transmission, alternator, starter ,battery, calipers, brakes, etc many new parts

If you have kids, do what's best for your family. I don't know what that is, but you should!

If not, then I'd say ditch the 240 and get something you like.

well unless you have injested a particle of dark matter which is tearing a rift in the space time continum allowing your oil to cross over into a parallel unverse where your alternate self is posting on a similar forum but her thread is "where is all the extra oil coming from" you likely have worn rings or valve guides. Have you mechanic perform a leakdown check. that will give him(or her, greasy chics are cool) a picture of how wore out your engine is. It might be time for an overhaul.

take it to a body shop and have the dent fixed and change the color so it feels new and refreshed to you. Have the AC fixed so you are not baking and take your heels off when you drive silly, works for me:fruit
