Greetings and salutations my fellow G35 owners, (I'm tryin to make this sound as professional as possible lol)

As you all have observed over the past few months Infiniti has created an automobile to inherit the title of sports car under the Infiniti name, we along with other enthusiasts refer to this creation as the G37. Now I remember the day when I was driving in my good ol' black G35 and I see a G37. At that moment I was hit with a feeling that made me feel like me and my partner (my G) were no longer competent and that I was a dying breed. Now when the G37 pulled off, I would have executed the normal "fun" procedure when encountering another vehicle that would possibly make me perform actions that might involve more points going on my liscense than Micheal Jordan could score in one basketball game. But, for some odd reason I just couldn't do it and from that moment on I thought to myself... "Since the G37's have come out, will that mean that the G35 is going out of style? I mean do .2 more liters really make it all that and a bag of chips?"

It kinda feels like I'm the little brother thats in big brother's shadow. But, if there are any other G35 owners out there that feel the same way; can i get an amen? And, if you don't feel the same way... just go ahead and poke fun at this topic anywho... I really want to hear other opinions about this.

oh and I remember someone told me about this so called "Altima Coupe" having the ability to rival the G35. So being the curious cat that I am, I decided to check it out and test drive it. I sit in the car... Push button start! Sweet Sauce!! After I hit that button, the next question I asked the sales representative was "Where is the eject button? Wtf is wrong with this thing?" How is this car going to rival the G35 (supposedly) and be front-wheel drive? And then to top it off they come in 2.5L with the 3.5L being optional (I assume). Thats like wanting cookies and milk only to realize you ain't got no cookies! So now, you just got milk!! Eh, so I got in my G and left... disappointed... then happiness was with me again as I hear the beautiful VQ35 singing as I go down the road...

Now, I understand this is pretty long and to some this might be a bunch of nonsense which I also understand is plausable grounds for flaming. But, I figured I'd just share some of my thoughts with the world and see what they thought... about my thoughts... So, if you flame me, I still <3 you and you are entitled to your opinion

Sincerely,Infinitgkid

lolz

Realize the AltyCoupe has the same VQ35 as you do and it is a lighter car. Sure, it's FWD but tests have shown it to be equal to the G37.

I've been looking into getting a G37 or a used '06-07 G35 coupe myself. Still have not made the decision yet. I love the G37s but there is so much I can do with a used G35 that is 8-10k less

I prefer the looks of the 03-07 G35's coupes. I'm probably in the minority.I fell for the G35 when I first saw it at the new auto show in CLT.However, my butt is more in love with the seat in my sedan. I would love to have a 03-07 G35 with G37 seats!!! I think the G35 coupes have the lines and beauty to stand the test of time.

It really is just the way things work. In another 3-5 years, when the G37 successor arrives, it will be much the same scenario.

Sure, the G37 has some more power, and is nicer on the inside, but its no match for the G35's timeless design. It is what it is.

Not to take anything away from the G37, but I just think they got it right on the first try with the G35 design.

Absolutely. The played it safe with the G37 and went the route of Lexus and BMW.

The concept body shape should have been used. Oh well, maybe next time. However, I will still probably buy a G37 once I can legally import one.

There is something to be said for the term "classic", which in my opinion is the G35 coupe. It was the first and it was the best.

Without the groundbreaking design of the G35 coupe there would be no G37 to which to build from.

When you pass a G37 you sound as if you are envious. When I pass a G37 I wonder why they don't clap for me or bow or move over or something. They are afterall and in my opinion the little brother of the G35 and I was always taught to respect your elders.

Just my $0.02. ......and with that you all have a good day!

Very well put!!

I'm all about the G35... now if they produced the G37 closer to the prototype pics... I may sway.
