falling apart?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I am a 2010 EX35 owner. just got my ex35 on 1/10/2010.currently only had 1035 miles on it.and today my wife was getting into the passenger seat, and found that the plastic vent cover came off.i think it came off from the bottom of the glove stroage area.not sure where, but it was on the floor.has anyone had this problem?the car is brand new, only had it for 2 months, but I seem to find all the little issues here and there.this is not a good sign for a 2 months old car.

I'd take it back to the dealership you bought it from and tell them about your issues. Don't worry about upsetting someone. The car is under warranty, they are obligated to fix it.

What other little issues did you find? For me, I have some relatively faint tapping sound coming from the dashboard periodically as I'm driving, as if some plastic or glue is stretching under heating or cooling. I can hear it when I don't listen to music in the car, but since it doesn't happen all the time, I think it will be difficult to get the service people to replicate it. Or maybe my problem is this:http://www.infiniti-techinfo.c...lyear

I wouldn't be too worried about things not being perfectly glued and such. That kind of stuff is probably impossible to get 100% right all the time on production cars, and I don't think it should be seen as a sign of further problems you'll be having with the car. We've had similar issues with our previous car (Mercedes B200) and while there were squeaky plastics here and there, car has never even shown a sign of any kind of malfunction for 3.5 years that we had it.

It happened to my 2008 model also. It`s so easy to fix bec. that cover snaps to 4 holes under the glove compartment. Not a big deal...

yes, i am sure i can put it back in place without any problem.but the question is, should this be happening? with a 2 months old car?what else will be falling off? i have own japanese cars before, but never had this small issues. i mean...if they can't do a good job with small things like this, should I be worried about bigger issues? like what is going on under the hood?just kinda bothers me a lil, when we paid good money for the car. but seems to get something like this.

Don't get all hyped up over nothing. Most cars have to be brought back to the dealer at the beginning for minor things here and there. I had to have the steering wheel housing replaced as well as the fuel pump(the 2 repair recalls), and it doesn't bother me a bit. They replaced them quickly, offered a courtesy car and washed the car for me. Its what happens to mass produced cars. Doesn't mean the car quality is poor. Quite the opposite, the Infiniti is one of the more solidly put together cars out there, quiet ride, seamless panels, and quality materials(maybe other than the center console with the GPS). Enjoy and don't fret over little things that every other car makes have as well.

i am hoping i am just over reacting.I 've had 7+ jap cars in the past, toyota, honda, lexus, acura, nissan, now Infiniti.I've never had any type of issues with any of the previous cars, except for this one. let's just hope it doesn't keep up.
