V710s? Are those Kumhos?
What's your opinion on Direzza Star Spec for summer/light autox duty? I'm mainly concerned on wet traction as it rains a lot up here.
Wait.. did I ask you about the Dunlops already? I feel deja vu...now..
*Yawn/Stretch* Ugh, have to work overtime tonight. Doing a massive network monitoring upgrade/rebuild. Bored as all hell as it's just me here.
Yea, they wear out very fast. The tires had 12 runs on them that day with plenty of cool time, but graining happened anyway and the tires were quite through when I stages for my afternoon heats. The video taken was of my final run, where I needed a 35 and wound up with a 36.8. The rest of the video had to be edited as it consisted of me cursing like a sailor and such, I was not happy.
V710's are indeed Kumhos. I love them. Comparable lateral grip to a Hoosier A6 and they last longer. They're also a little cheaper. If my car wasn't co-driven, I'd probably be running A6's, but my co-driver will only kick in half on V710's, which is also fine with me.
Star Specs huh? They're a good all around tire. They can be semi-competitive on the track and they can do more in inclimate weather than my RS3's or RE11's. Honestly though, RE11's in R15 205 can be had for under 100 a piece right now on Tire Rack AND you get a 100 buck gift certificate from AMEX if you order before May. RE11's are my choice for top street tire and I'm planning on ordering some for Carlisle.
