What do you guys think of these tires? I was looking at mating a 205/55ZR-16 to a set of Enkei wheels at 16x7. Anybody have an opinion on the tires or the wheel combo?

I have the Falken Ziex 512 and they are a bit too hard for my taste... then again I'm the kind of person that would run 60 treadwear Advans if I could afford it :)

I have 16x7 enkei RS5s and FK451s, and im happy with them in terms of grip( i can rarely spin them on dry pavement)/price and they smell really good too when you burn them lol.

the only thing that im not completely satisfied with is the 55 sidewall. I strapped on the S/T sway bars, and i still have a hint of body roll which i think is due to the sidewall being so big...? if anyone can confirm that then id recommend going with a smaller sidewall which i will do next time.

overall id recommend them.

thats got nopthing top do with sidewall, its the chasis felxing or the suspension. Try running the tire a bit higher(35psi or so) that will help sidewall flex, but the body roll will remeain.

if anything, with stickier tires, body roll will increase with the transitional adhesion limit of the newer, stickier and stiffer tire...

ST sway bars do a good job of limiting body roll, but its not eliminated(nor do yo want it to be)

I'll quote dennis(Q45tech):"pick springs that you want to do 75% of your objective, then use sway bars for the rest"

I am running those tires on both the Stanza and the Spec and I like them. They are very comparable to the Toyo Proxes T1-Ss in tread design and feel the same and have the same characteristics for the most part except the Falkens are cheaper in price. They also have great Wet/Dry traction and as Exar_Kun said they are not all season tires. I tried them last winter and they stunk in the snow but of course that was on my 18s also :oface

Anyhow, I highly recommend these tires.

my main concern was their ability to deal with water. virginia mountains get a decent amount of water :D as for snow, i'm shodding the old stock wheels with some snow tires once i decide on my wheel/tire combo
