I bought some rear Falken FK 452 tires for the rear. They are pretty nice. My front tires were still good then. They are Michelin. I'm tired of paying around $300 a tire. Anybody like FALKEN? I want to put the new ones on the front, but they only make a 245 40 R19. That seems big for the front. Then I would have to switch to 275 40 19 in the back. Thats wide. Anybody want to share their thoughts on this?

I'm actually condering getting these tires. You can get a front that 235/35 R19 and then get 275/30 R19's for the rear. That's the setup i'm looking to put on there. The tire has gotten really good reviews everywhere i've read about them.

The other one i'm debating are the General Exclaim UHP which now makes tires in those same sizes.....

The generals are a lil cheaper and have a higher treadwear rating...and there are several people on this forum that have them and really like them. It's a tough choice for me

I currently have 245/35/19 on the front and 245/40/19 on the rear without any issues.

I don't know if I'd go with what Focusedintentions suggested. Those tires would seem to be kind of short.

EDIT:

I have a pair of the 451 or 452. I can't remember which one. I won't swap them until my current rears die.

The 452's are very popular with good reviews. 245/40 will fit on a 8" wheel easily. A few have gone with the 275's in the rear on the stock wheels. Seems to be alot of hype in the General Exclaims as well. Toyo proxes are also well liked. I think the exclaims are the cheapest with exceptional specs. Whenever in doubt about tire sizes, visit http://www.1010tires.com and compare oem specs with different specs. Just remember the 3% rule of thumb on diameter difference.
