My last two sets of tires have been Kumho Ecsta 712s 225/50/16 on S14 SE wheels. They are good for the price but I want to try something new for around the same price. I was thinking about getting some Falken Azenis Sport RT-215 tires, but they only come in 205/55 and 215/45 in 16s. I dont want to mess with the original circumfrance of the wheel so I narrowed it down the 205/55/16 size.http://www.falkentire.com/tires/az_rs_infopg.htm

I know it would be a more narrow width tire than the 225, but I still think the Azenis in the 205 width will out perform the 225 kumhos. (I dont care about road noise, wet traction, and comfort)

I know the Azenis Spots have a stronger sidewall than the kumho 712s. On top of that, since the the S14 SE wheels are 6.5 width, I think that a 205 tire will have less sidewall flex than a 225. What are you guys or girls thoughts?

I'm a big fan of the 205/55-16 size. TireRack has the AO32R in stock. Call Grant tomorrow!

going to a smaller section width tire will cause your total wheel weight to drop. You get some benefits from losing some rubber, and depending on the rim width you could actually increase traction. Section width is measured sidewall to sidewall, not the actual tread surface.

I like the A032Rs, but last I checked they werent cheap. The Azenis are more affordable.

Go with the 215s... I've driven on both the 205 and 215.. the 215 is noticably better
