I just saw another one here just 10 minutes ago!!! Oh my God i hate it! It's just so obvious and it sounds riced to hell. I really wish I had a video camera a while ago so you guys could see what i mean. It was a red civic with no hubcaps. They had one of those weird colored Honda emblems, and he had a fart muffler. The fake turbos are makin me sick though. There was a guy that always drives around here the other day in a white eclipse who had a fake turbo, and he tried to race me. I was cruisin around at 1/2 throttle and he couldn't pass me! He had that BOV sound chirpin, and i think he was pushing a button every once in a while to make that sound, because i know no one shifts 4 times in one block. I know for sure that guy has a fake turbo though, because my friend knows him. Who is making these fake kits though? We need to find out where the factory is and blow it up. Oh yea, we have to take the money first though.

Those fake intercooler things are sweet, they actually help by drawing in cold air. Look nice, and keep your car cool.

i, like so many memebers on this page, blame it all on what i like to call the slow and settled plague or the fast and and the furious movie...i don't even no why i call it a movie considering what i know about cars now that was an hour and half or the attack of the killer rice machines

Ok First the fake intercoolers are the most corny thing ever made. They are for true RICERS. But fast and the furious is not all to blame, the import shows that feature all the riced out civics is what promotes atlezza's and fake turbo's the most. And I liked the movie.

They need to watch Initial D instead of the Fast and the Furious.

Well, it'd be worth it. Those riced out cars would be demolished on the mountain roads here :-)

I just wish I had thought about it first. I would sell those fake intercoolers and blow-offs with a smile. I don't know which is more pathetic though, the fake intercooler or those guys who paint their AC condenser silver and front like it's an intercooler.

Damn that kind of sucks for the people who actually spent lots of money to put a turbo and intercooler on their car, and you guys redicule it because you can't tell the difference between a real one and a fake. There's actually no difference in the look when it comes to intercoolers and front cold air intake boxes. But I agree Hondas drifting would be a joke, not that 240SX's would be awesome for drifting either.

Actually, those front air intake boxes do look different from an intercooler. They are only like hald the size of an intercooler, reddish colored, and have only one tube leading out from it. i know they make small intercoolers, but they can be told apart from a FMCAI

geez kids these days, 240's were definately not built for drifting. If that were the case the car would totally be different, admit that kids.

I got the mesquite chips in the fire for just the right flavor! Anything can be drifted to some degree, hell I drifted the company rollback once( Jake brake, wet road and my dumb-***, mix well). Certain cars just inherently have the right balance, center of gravity, suspension geometry and power delivery. The Silvia/180sx has all the elements, the 240sx is three for four by relation. All you need is a manual(auto can be done but really tricky)and an LSD.
