Alright now before everyone gets their flame on you first have to hear me out. I am aiming for performance over looks, but looks are still important.

So let me first let me explain my brake setup. I have 30mm Aluminum Z32 brakes up front and the Z31/Altima rotor setup with the stock caliper in the rear. For those who don't know, this setup keeps a good brake bias while eliminating the need to run drum e-brakes. Anyways back to the topic. From an asthetic opinion my brakes look kind of funny with a stationary caliper in front and floating in rear. Then this thought crossed my mind. What if I got a caliper cover for just the rear? The caliper covers for the rear look almost exactly like a Z32 rear caliper and the one I am looking at will cover my ugly looking floating caliper perfectly, not to mention it will look 10x better painted than stock calipers. So what do you guys think? I know it is kind of fake baller status but the stock rear floating calipers are just SO ugly and they will match my fronts.

paint both black, and no one will know you have floaters unless they really look hard....how much are the covers btw?

$8 shipped for rears only. They come in an ugly yellow but I would paint them silver or black.

Well part of the reason I want to do this is because I like the look of smooth glossy calipers. In order to do that I would have to grind and polish my stock ones and powder coat them. Razi, the whole reason I was looking at the covers was because I would like people to notice both my front and rear calipers. I am not too cheap for Z32 calipers and e-brakes, but the weight and labor don't seem too appealing when I already have my Z31/Altima rotor setup.

How about this, I will get these cheap a$$ $4 ($4 shipping) covers, paint them, and install them and let you guys be the judge. If they look too ricey then I will trash them.

I'm curious to see how they'd look. I've never heard of these before.

I've seen many up close.
It only draws more attention to the brakes to let people know you put on cheap covers.

Just paint it black.

Yea I've seen them on a G35. They look pretty fake, so it draws a lot of attention to the fakeness

It's not those. Those look stupid. The ones I am looking at look almost exactly like Z32 rear calipers. I don't know what looks worst, a tiny sliding caliper on a 12in rotor or a caliper cover...

You should get it anyway and not tell anyone. If your doing it only for looks and is less than 10 bucks then I say why not. You can always remove it when you get real Z calipers

I'm running Z32 calipers and 350Z Brembo rotors (F) on my S13, and OEM in the rear.

Don't care what anyone thinks.

BBK on the rear of a Nissan is only for looks anyway, since 80% of the work is done up-front.
