A coolant leak seems to have developed recently in my car.

It is on the left turbo (looking forward) on the line the feeds it coolant from the engine. Investigation has shown that it is not the rubber piece that is leaking, but higher up. I suspect a portion of the hard pipe feeding right from the engine has cracked or something. It is in a really difficult location to reach, despite me driving a RHD and having all my steering components on the other side.

Is there any way to resolve this leak without having the pull the engine? It seems a bit extreme to have to pull just to fix this one issue.

Would really appreciate any help people can provide.

Assuming the leak is originating from further up toward the top of the engine, you could probably get to it by just removing the plenum. I believe with the plenum off you can get to most of the coolant hardpipes on the back of the engine.

Thanks for the tip!

I'm about to simplify all the vacuum lines properly for a boost controller install, so the plenum pull should be pretty easy once the EGR, AIV, PRVR and Carbon Cannister are no longer attached to the plenum.
