Sounds like it is worth the cash. You can part it out if nothing else and get that much back easy.

Save a Z car if you can.

Like Jezter said, if its too rough to save its certainly worth parting out. I have a 1978 280z. If you do pick that one up and decide to part it out drop me an e-mail. Also put up some pictures if you can.

If you decide not to buy it somebody on here might be interested in a big project lol

what chassis are we talking about? I thought all the S30 fairlady's got the L20A (and some of those had the OS Giken Crosslow head)? or are we talking about an S130? either way rust of the key issue, there is a certain novelty to them but if thye are trashed they have no additional value, and the parts that make them fairlady's aren't in demand

so it is a s130 chassis, which btw would be a 280ZX not a 280Z (very different) of course being a fairlady it's just a fairlady, anyhow, what is the head and block castings? head casting located between #1 and #2 spark plugs and the block casting is just in front of the LH motor mount near the bottom of the block, I'm interested to see what blovk head combo it's got

thats true to a certain point. but ive seen some cases where the s130s been badged as fairladyZs not ZXs. theres a lot of early model s130s in australia that were badged that way..

Looks really really solid. Can't believe the cheap price. Shame its not an s30 chassis car though

the S30 chassis is overated and the s130 is underated, for an extra 200 lbs you got vented front disk's, rear disk, power everything, T-Tops, nicer interior and a stiffer chassis, and they put a cover on those big fat bumpers of the late s30's

I personally the the S130 looks a little too long. I like the short S30 style just personal preferance.
