Fair price on new G?

Ok so everyone knows the new G37 is coming out soon, but no one has much of an idea about how much the prices are going to go up. I was looking at buying/leasing an '07 G35 Coupe manual w/premium, aero and XM. The dealer wanted something like 35,900 while MSRP was around 38,800. The lease deal was $400/mo for only a 21 month lease with 3,000 down.

Obviously the 37 is going to be right around the corner but I've always been leary of owning a 1st production year car, plus i'm sure there will be a wait/premium on price for the first few months. I'm not sure if its worth it to buy a G35 at this point given the price listed. Is this a decent deal or should I hold out until the 37's release date and see if any are still around that I can haggle down for a lower price?

If you really want to save some cash, look for a slightly used 06 or 05. But 35k doesn't sound like a bad deal to me...

Plus it is only a lease so you can trade up in a couple years. I would suggest waiting another few weeks since the G37's are about to start hitting the market next month. You should be able to get a better deal on a '07 coupe that way.

quick question..before today i told myself i was going to keep my car and mod it completely..then all the hype about the g37 came out and im thinking about doing it. my car is on a lease for 3 years and i barely got it in january..its an 06 g35x sedan and im kinda interested in the coupe since im still a young guy with no family. the only thing that scares me is getting even more negative equity on my car..do you guys think the g37 is worth it being heavier then the previous models? if you were in my shoes, would you trade your car in for the g37?
