I've noticed in my '93 Z32 NA that, when cold, there is a faint squeaking noise. I know it's not the belts. The noise goes away at 2500rpm, regardless of temperature. It seems as though there's an on-off switch at 2500 that makes it go away. Has anyone had this issue before? Any help is appreciated

Would you be able to capture the sound on with a video? It could be so many things from that description

Sounds like a pulley to me. What I would do is grab an automotive stethoscope (a long screwdriver or prybar will work, just not as well) and listen to all of the belt driven accessories. Power steering, alternator, water pump, a/c compressor and see if you can isolate the noise. Maybe even try to listen to the timing covers - hopefully it's not coming from an idler pulley in there. If none of that works, next thing I'd do is take the belts off the car and run it, see if the noise is still there. Don't run it for more than a couple of minutes - you won't have alternator or water pump which are obviously important.
