at idle, up to 2600 it goes away, gets louder 2000-2200. Sounds like its coming from under the intake manifold. Maybe a lifter going bad? not pumping up enough oil? Its getting worse. It was only idle-1100. And it would go away when warm. It was only doing it when cold, 2 days ago. Now its all the time. It started about a week ago. I thought it was the waterpump. Sound like under the intake manifold about halfway down.

Any ideas? Oil is fresh, probly got 1000miles since changed.

What's your oil pressure reading? The only moving parts under the intake manifold are
1. The cams, which would be about where you are describing
2. Lifters, which normally start to "tick" as opposed to squeaking
3. Pistons, which wouldn't squeak
4. Rods/bearings, which would be more of a "bottom end" sound
5. Crank. Same as above.

Take a video, post it up, and we'll try to narrow it down. You're sure it's not coming from the front of the engine?

possitive its not in the front. I have had this topend torn apart a few times.everything seems good. I even pulled off my clutch fan so I could quite it down to find it better. An injector wouldent ever make a squeaking would it?

Ok. Finally got some time to mess with the car.
The squeaking is for sure coming from the clutch assembly. And I have a leak. Im thinking its the rear main.

So question is..What would the squeaking be?

Throwout or pilot bearing?
those are the only things I can think of that would squeak in that region...

haha have fun cleaning it. $10 says it's not your pilot bearing. Shoot, if you have a bad pilot bearing you can have my car!
