I found a good older thread for smog failure on here but it didn't quite address my issues.
I know I have a passenger side exhaust manifold leak, or an exhaust leak in that area. Its on my list of things to do but would that negatively have an impact on the smog test?
I have new ngk platinum single tip plugs ready to go in and I need some new O2 sensors I'm guessing as well. The air filter is new, the fuel filter is new, the engine oil needs replacement. I have 2 new PCV valves ready to go in. So aside from what I just mentioned, my guess is that it could be the engine timing or the cat. Now I don't think its the cat because the NO levels and 02 levels are so low but could it be? Is there an easy way to check the health of the cat?
I posted pictures because I don't know where the PCV valves are. I found another thread asking the same question but the pictures left room for doubt. So is the picture with the red arrow pointing at the nut looking thing the passenger side PCV valve? Also, where is the driver side PCV valve as I can't find it at all. Maybe someone could indicate where I might look on the picture I provided?
The other red arrow is pointing at a rotten hose line that needs to be replaced. Is this a vacuum hose? Does anyone know the size of the j30 vacuum hose and where I could find more of it, maybe in Red so I know what has been fixed and what hasn't. Infinitipartsusa didn't have any for the J30 specifically.
Thanks for your guys help!
