failed emissions 1st time did not leave car running the HC limit is 01.20I had 02.36, second time left car running oil change new air filter again I failed the HC limit it was higher 02.62 Wha tdo I do

your numbers for all measured emissions?

Scan or copy the emission test results and post them.

1st time LIMITHC 02.36 01.20CO 013.33 020.00NOx 00.49 02.50CO2 301.66 NAdidn't keep running kept turning off 1.5 hrs

2nd timeHC 02.62CO 011.30NOx 01.12CO2 265.23ran for 30 miles and kept running until test

sounds like by your numbers a possible bad cap, wires or plugs. Your numbers indicate you are not burning all your fuel. the rest of your numbers indicate combustion is occuring and your not getting to much fuel as your co numbers are in the passing range. Be aware co MAY go up when you get the unburnt fuel condition taken care of.
