Well I don't think that I'm the only one with this problem. My windshield knob and turn signal knob are faded on my 240sx so is there anything that i could do to restore them? or id it possible to replace them? Any help/input would be highly appreciated.

Thanks!

you def can replace them courtesy parts in the ad section or you could just paint them all black or if you feel frisky tape off the writing paint then paint the writing.

to me it seems like clear coat on top, plastic under, and some white letter

yep its a black plastic with a clear coat on top, after 15+ years the clear coat fades away, just add an other layer of clear coat and it will look brand new, just did mine.

there is a prodoct called "back to black" at the parts stores. or any really good trim detailer that is a more of a jelly than a spray will do. soak rag or paper towel in the stuff, and wrapt up the knobs, leave for a few hours, come back, wipe off excess and make sure its even. it wont damage the lettering.

Yes! thats what I was trying to put into words. Someone already did a write up on this back to black product, but it was a while ago.

One day a mysterious box will show up on your doorstep. You'll open it, because hey, its a free box. In it you will find Canadian p0rn. Your life, from that moment on, will forever be changed. You will not be able to watch any other p0rn. You will die happy.

Harder,eh? Oh yes, eh?

holy **** it's like 98 bucks!

anyone come up with a solution that doesn't involve "polishing the knob" over and over again?

The options are pretty much buy new and take really good care of it, or just say to hell with it and keep the faded ones.
