Okay, got my S13 in August of last year. noticed rust washoff coming out from under the spoiler. I was like "crap...". pulled off the spoiler, and found i have a BIG rust hole. Since i didn't have the cash (still really don't), i havn't replaced the hatch or had it patched, i just put clear duck tape over it. Ghetto i know, but it keeps the water out... Which do you guys reccomend i do? None of the salvage yards in my area have 240's. Should i just pay someone to cut out the rust and put in a sheet metal plate? Or start looking for a new hatch?

well you lose your rear windshield wiper and defroster, you have to be very careful with the hatch, if you drop it too hard it will break and such

but if you really want theyre like $700 at enjuku

which ever one is cheaper, go to some paint shops and see what they would charge.

Im thinkgin patching it up will be cheaper bc they will just have to paint a small spot. If you get a new hatch you might have to paint the whole thing if its not white.

wire brush the rust off, primer it, then put the clear tape on.
