Simple question: what gauge is the factory speaker wire? Or does anyone have a remote idea of what it would be? I think it's 18ga, but I can't remember and I would like to be 100% sure.

I'm not sure, but if you're thinking about using it to run an aftermarket amp through, I wouldn't recommend it. The OEM wiring is always too thin. There is no way it is thicker than 18 awg. I'd be willing to bet it might even be 20.

can you turn on your pm's dark scorpion?

on a related note though, i agree with apple, the factor gauge is probably 20 awg, they are not suitable for hardly any aftermarket speakers.

My PM's are now on.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm well aware that it's unsuitable for use w/ an aftermarket amp. I needed to know the gauge for another reason; I needed to know............

I'd actually have to go and measure. TBH, I wasn't concerned with that at all at any point during my ownership. I knew I was going to be running my own anyway.
