Hey guys,

I'm new to the forum and just bought a 2013 QX56. I'm having a problem with the lift gate. It works intermittently, but it is currently not operational. I was trying to find the service manual information for the lift gate and it would appear to be in the DLK file of the service manuals, BUT of course that file seems to be missing.

Can someone tell me how to get the DLK file and also if anyone has any advice on the Lift gate that would be really great as well.

Thanks!

Since you say you just bought your 2013 QX56, did you get extended warranty? If yes, then that would be great as I am sure you will be covered for the lift gate. If not, I recommend you get warranty if you can.

This car is a luxurious suv and I have seen that any electrical fix or most fixes can easily run in the thousands. I know that though people are spending a lot of money to own and drive this suv, I am sure one would not be happy having a high bill at the dealership.

So, my advice is get extended warranty if you can to all who are driving this new body style QX and the new Armada.

Thanks guys! I was able to pull the panels and get down into the liftgate this weekend. Unfortunately, I could find nothing wrong with the mechanical mechanism. It seemed to be very clean untouched and not in anyway in a bind. It was a pretty good learning experience pulling all the panels. Lol. I actually did buy the extended warranty when I bought this vehicle but don't live by a dealer, So I thought I would see if there was an easy fix. I have always been completely against extended warranty because I felt like they weren't worth it, however for this vehicle I believe it will be worth it. I hope all these bugs do not continue. I also have a low fuel pressure code (P0087). what you guys have given me will be great hopefully the liftgate will be covered by the warranty.
