Hello I am having trouble trying to get my 90 240sx to run. I have checked the ecu and it keeps telling me code 55. I have checked wires, plugs, distributor, and the iac/acc. Nothing seems to be wrong with these. It ran fine for a while, then i let it sit over the weekend and now it will crank over but will not run. i was pumping the gas pedal to get it started, but that stopped working. Then i started using starter fluid and that worked for a while. Now all it will do is crank over. Most of the stuff the Factory Service Manual tells me to check says to start the car, but i cant. Can anyone tell me what i can try? I think it might be the CKP but i am not sure. I thought the ECU would tell me if the CKP was bad right? help please i need my car to get around. THANkS

Pumping the accelerator won't do anything, it's a fuel injected car.

Have you checked fuel pressure at the rail with the key in the ON position?

Might be time for a fuel pump.

i disconnected the fuel line right before the fuel rail and it was squirting fluid out. And their is gas residue on the spark plugs.

well you fouled out your plugs, try replacing them. Once you do, check if your getting spark...

well i changed spark plugs and checked for spark. The only time it seems like it wants to crank is if i switch the 3 and 4 spark plugs. I even reset the timing today. Still just sits there and turns over.
