I need a factory service manual and I was wondering if buying the CD FSM is just as good as the booklet, anyone have the CD and tell me if it's easier? I don't wanna spend around 60-100 for the book, I've seen the CD for only 24-40 dollas. I fure wid the CD it's easier to find whatever it is you wanna find, just use search right? Please correct me if im wrong.

FSM has an index and section indicators, it may not be a click but when used in conjunction it is very easy to find anything in it.

Just answer me this... When you are working on your car will it be in your room, will you bring a laptop with you everywhere you go, or will you print everything out ahead of time?

FSM is great. It sits quietly in an engine bay while working. You can touch it with out washing your hands every 5 seconds. If you get mad you can throw it. If you drop it who cares. It can always be by your side and ready to give out its vast range of information, at a moments notice, 24 hours a day no matter where you are.

It will become your best friend and not complaine about anything, always ready to serve YOU!

Ebay probably there is one on there now for a 95 :)

Just happened to see it today.

As for mine well I was taking nissan procap course a cpl years back. It was basic service procedures, engine remove replace and tear down, and dynomometer and drivablity. It was a 3 class block one semester out of four needed for an AAS degree I just wanted to learn the basics of the 240 engine... (got a AS in multimedia / graphic design btw)

Well we didnt have any 96's at the time but had a 96 fsm in mint condition in the closet with a bunch of FSM's in mint condition for cars we didnt have hehe. So one day I asked if I could borrow it for the weekend, and um forgot to bring it back.... I just kept using it then I finished that semester... So, but it is one of my most used tools :). Besides it probably just got reimbursed from nissan anyway.

A dealership bought fsm will cost you, just like anything else at a dealership, unless you have connections :)

I would definately get a good condition used one off of ebay or the web first.
