I recently bought a 2003 G35 without navigation. As anyone installed factory navigation in a G35 yet? I really want to install this asap, and I went to the dealership yesterday and they didnt want to mess with it. Is it that hard to install?

I was thinking of going after market, but I want to buy the 2005 radio for the factory Sirus connection. What I am unclear on, does the factory radio in 2004+ not only have the a prewired connection, but a controller in it. So I can actually choose my stations through it?

Russell - I'm a new 03 Coupe owner too.

My understanding is that the nav car has a completely different wiring harness.

However, I HAVE heard of people taking a wrecked nav car and transferring the components into a non-nav car.

Let me do some searching....

I've seen photos somewhere of this, but can't find it. It's quite a big project that requires you to swap out and add many parts. It would likely be cheaper and easier to find one that has it from the factory and sell yours.

Greg is correct the wiring harness is completely different between the navi and non navi models which is the main reason why many *including mine* do not want to do something like this. It is unexplored territory and I dont think we would want to warrentee a job where we have no write ups or prior knowledge to.

Just get an aftermarket deck with navi. Even if you did find a dealership that will do it expect you bank account to be a bit dry after they show you the bill.
