So, if I found a car with ABS, is it gauranteed to have the LSD? Or is it still an option left up to the orignal purchaser?

not all s14 SE's have an LSD my 98 se doesn't have one. you can supposedly tell by the number that is stamped on the firewall in the engine bay.

there is a place in the FAQ area on http://www.240sx.org to use that number on the car to determine the original state of your 240.

No. Check the specifications on each year on this link to find out more details.

Who makes 'em?

I found these made by Kaaz:

But those are $900 i believe.

For the everyday driver making no more than 325HP, is the R200 a good unit?

C-kwik... are you SURE that an ABS S14 can not have an LSD? I thought that it was LSD = ABS, so there is not really a way around it.

Quaife makes LSDs.

The Kaaz unit is in the 700 range, not 900. Give or take a couple dollars, not give or take a couple hundred :D

oops, sorry about that.

I guess that was MSRP or something.

Still $700 is expensive for the everyday driver/occasional racer when a VLSD from AfterDark is only $300.
