Hi Folks,

I am new to the forum and just purchased a 2011 Nissan Armada SV for my wife. Its no NAV or DVD, but has Bose system and Rear Camera. I recently came across a great deal on an Overhead console with factory DVD installed as well as the Factory DVD player that goes in the glove box. This was removed from a 2011 Armada. My connections are obviously the factory harnesses which are one to the DVD player and two to the overhead console. When I pull down my existing console, there is only one harness. I havent had a chance to pull the Center console to see if the harness for the DVD would be there. I am guessing maybe not.

This forum seems to have by far the most knowledgable folks on it. So my question is what are my options here. There are obviously no harnesses in place currently. I am wondering if I pull my Bose system out if there is an open spot for a harness to tie into the DVD player I mount in the center console that also ties into a harness that goes to the overhead DVD screen and all I need to do is just figure out the right harnesses to buy and just run them. I am thinking that it may not be that easy. I paid next to nothing for these parts and can return them within 30 days. I guess I could just go to the dealership and see if they can make it work for a reasonable price but dont know if they would even touch it.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Happy New Year and welcome to NICOclub! The staff here is thrilled to have you as a new member of the Armada Forum!

Here is the issue, yes you have a Bose system, but the Bose System on the SV is different then on the other model. I am pretty certain that the Bose system in your SV will NOT have the plug for the DVD player. The DVD system is not available as an option on the SV..........only SL and standard on the Platinum. You can check the Factory Service Manual here to confirm without having to physically pull everything apart: http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/armada/

Now, even if the harness is not there, you can still get an AV person to install the overhead monitor so that it all works with the factory head unit, it is certainly possible, but not nearly as simple.

You will certainly enjoy the Armada, it is an awesome ride!!!!!
