Hey guys im currently looking at getting the avic d3 unit for an 08 altima coupe with the bose sound system but was wondering i would loose the steering wheel controls as well as the bluetooth. If this isnt a good choice what would be a nice double din unit where i could keep the factory steering wheel controls and the blue tooth.thanks

Steering wheel controls can work with PAC SWI-PS. If the Pioneer does not have Bluetooth, then I'm sure they sell a Bluetooth interface. Pioneer nav units boot slow as christmas. Alpine or Kenwood FTMFW.

so everything on the steering wheel will work with the interface.

which alpine or kenwood would you recommend. Also can i instal an aftermarket amp ontop of the bose amps?

You will loose cell phone control with the aftermarket deck. Other than that you will be able to get everything else to work.

-Depending on what HU you go with the Pac SWI should work. I bought one for my 03 maxima only to find out that it wasn't compatible with my Sony CDX 9905x.

-The HU you choice is really more a of a personal decision. Are you going for looks or performance? Personally I would choose Alpine over Kenwood any day just because of my experice with Alpine has been good.

-In regard to the Bose amps, I don't believe you can run another amp on top of them. In my maxima the bose amp was rated at 1 ohm because that what the speakers where set for. If you going to touch the factory amp or speakers in your Altima I would recommend swapping them all out with aftermarket amps and speakers. You'll be happier in the long run. Keep in mind this is the expirence I had with my 03 max.....

If you want nav and bluetooth, I would choose Kenwood. If not, I would choose Alpine.
