this belongs in A/V... but they make steering wheel adapters to keep the volume, source, and track up/down... (PAC-SWI-PS) for the pioneer unit, but you WILL LOST the bluetooth function

I believe the avic-d3 has an optional bluetooth adapter for this functionality.

well yeah, almost all dcent quality headunit have bluetooth adapters (my kenwood has built in bluetooth).. but you LOOSE the use of the steering wheel to control the bluetooth with ALL aftermarket units

Yup, Doc is right on with this one. However, in my experience, it seems like most touch screen units have those buttons pop up on the screen when a call is coming in. Many also allow you to dial from the touch screen as well, so the steering wheel controls are not needed (again, in my opinion).

How much are you looking to spend? People on here have run all sorts of GPS double din units, and each have their benefits and downfalls. The price range will determine which units you can get, and then we can help you pick out the one that will perform the best for your needs!

if i could do it all over again, i would get the Alpine double din dvd/nav unit, so that I could use the H701... now, I'm switching over to an active crossover sound processor and its a pain in the ***, and more money than I want to spend

True, I do love my Alpine gear. However, if you're not planning on getting the H701 (which, let's face it, most people on these boards are not as crazy as the two of us) some of the other units probably perform better. For anyone not going all out on the audio setup, I doubt the Alpine would be the best selection (not that it's a bad choice). I really think your 8120 would suit most people better. Now, like you're finding out, running active is a bit easier with the Alpine, so if that is what someone would want, my recommendation would swing this way.
