factory amp?

ok for the past 3 months been having alot of problems with my radio i acutally got it working now just no sound lol someone told me there is a factory amp and i did not hook it up does anyone know where this amp is located or what color the amp turn on (remote) from the car is i can not find it anywere?

each speaker has its own independant amp on it. quite a while ago, there was someone on here that i helped out by putting a diagram for the stock wires coloring. i think it was you. if not, try searching around in here.

yea it was me lol thanks but for some reason there is no sound coming out of any speakers not sure what this means

that sounds like it would be the amp remote turn on wire not getting a signal.... im not 100% sure on this, but i believe the HU just puts out a 12v. if someone can verify that, i would suggest when the car and stereo are turned on, touch that wire to the 12v line. also, instead of trying that right away, try messing with all the audio cables. and see if u hear anything from the speakers.

btw, did u have a device hooked up between the HU that limits the output levels before it went to the speakers??? if not, theres a slight chance u might have blown ur speakers.... do u listen to the music loud????
