I *heard* from what I consider a reliable resource that there are some shims or strainers that are in the 270cc that can be removed effectively making them a 440-470cc injector. Anyone heard of this?

No way, I think they're blowing smoke up your wind pipe. The way I know injectors to work there is no way you could do that with a 'shim' or any sorts.

If you increased the pressure going to the injectors (to an extent) and increased the pulse width of the injector then you can make them flow slightly more than they're rated at 80% Duty cycle.

Or drill the tips, like the Subaru guys...but that's no exact science.

It creates MUCH more flow, but at the expense of atomization and spray pattern.
