How much did you pay to have your intercooler pipes fabbed for your KAT?

What about a downpipe?

I am trying to get an idea of what it will cost me to finish my KAT set up. I have a turbo and an intercooler and lot of random turbo parts already, but I still need a manifold, downpipe and charge pipes.

Thanks for any input!

It seems like the average cost for aluminum piping runs in the area of $200 to $300, and a downpipe will usually go for somewhere between $50 and $75. Overall, I'd put away $500 for all your custom piping, just to be on the safe side.

Great! I just talked to the shop that is going to do the work and they say couple hundred for the labor, and materials will not be too much.

Hopefully I will be boosting in a few months at the most!

hey man how are you giving the shop the dimensions for the piping? are you going to install the turbo before the piping is done and bring it over there? this is the one problem i am seeing with making your own kit........how do you know the measurements for the pipes for the shop?

Well the pipes after the turbo before the intercooler are going to be some mand. bends I have already. 2 inch diamater. After the intercooler is going to be whatever the size of the KAs throttle body. I will just have the shop order it a few weeks before I go in. I don't know the lenght of the pipes, I will just have to guess, and have the shop help guess about how much pipe they will waste cutting it all to fit. I am probablly going to have the shop install everything, except the injectors, fuel pump and ecu. I will have purchased the mani and all the other needed turbo bits and parts so it shouldn't cost too much to bolt it all together.

I'm still looking for the best way to fab i/c piping.

I think I'm going to have to buy mandrel bends and go to a muffler shop, but I don't know how much they would be willing to work with me on it. The most helpful shop I've talked to has only done one custom i/c setup.
