ahahahah no way man, those pics are private :ptmorgan4 wrote:this might just turn into a thread of how to mount your VH45.
Yep, solid... the car is a trailer queen dedicated drag car, so I'm not concerned with comfort at all, and it's an auto... so the only shock will be coming off the transbrake under 15psi of boostMettler wrote:Wow solid mounts! That's gonna make for good times when coming off the clutch pedal! Looks plenty strong enough.
I had that exact idea in mind, but I havn't gotten to it yet. The mounts were the hard part, that'll probably be next weekend's job.Mettler wrote:Have you reinforced with additional plate on the underside of the crossmember? I'm picking up my block from the machine shop this week. They had to go .005" overbore to remove the 0.003" out of round. Not bad for a motor with 170,000 miles. Now that I have a final bore measurement I'll be calling CP to order a set of custom pistons. I really want to run the stock rods to see their limit, but at the same time I don't want to find out the hard way. The Pistons will be targeting a 9.2:1 static CR with deeper valve reliefs for bigger cams, just in case...Mettler wrote:15psi?? :O Have you changed the internals on your motor?
Haha cheers m8! Look forward to seeing your progress! Yeh for all intents and purposes, mine are practically solid mounts too as that's 90 shore hardness urethane pressed into the mounts... shouldn't move but to remove the tiniest vibrations. I'm hoping to be able to stand a coin up on my plenum when I've finished
That's a built TH400 from JW Performance. It is rollerized and has a reverse pattern valve body with a transbrake. With the weight of my car, it is good for 1000HP.USsil80 wrote:your mounts looks awsome... just a quick question... are you using any kind of shift kit in the trany.. looks good ..
