Wassup i have a 93' 180sx with the sr20det motor in it and i just bought a FMIC w/o a piping kit so now i have to fab up my own. the i/c measurements are 24.5 X 11.75 X 3 with 3" in/outlets on the bottom of both sides.

So can someone plz tell wat angle and size pipes(and silicone hose) i need for each side?

Thanx

My best suggestion is to either take it to a shop or copy the pipes off an intercooler kit that has a similar core size.

Well, looks like we both are in the same situation but maybe you might be worse ^^ As of now, you will need intercooler pipe hose from 3" to 3" and for the sr20 manifold, the inlet size is 2.75 so you'll also need a hose that is from 3" to 2.75. The pipes are kinda confusing if you dont have the exact made for sr20det so you;lll need to cut and connect each of them using pipe couplers or hose and tighten them. All this can be searched in Ebay. Good Luck

I used 2 90 bends, a few inches of straight and a U bend for the cold side, and a U bend + blitz hotpipe for the hotside. You'll do something similar; visualize what you want to do, then make one piece at a time.

Since you know the connector sizes, you can make a template using cardboard. You can cut the cardboard how you want and then make the pipes from the templates.

I used TWO 2.5" U bends (for the cold pipe), and ONE 2" U bend (for the lower hot pipe). This is for an s14 motor though, the s13 motor in my opinion would be much harder to fab.

I had a cut-off saw so I was able to cut the pipe myself. I only had 1 pipe welded, the rest were coupled

oh yeah, don't forget the IACV pipe, I think I got a 1/4" Outside Diameter pipe from Home Depot and had it cut/welded.

$55 in piping$15 labor for welding$70 in couplers (I think)

If there is no way to a pipe bender and you have, strait piping, a welder and a lot of time on your hands, I have two words for you:

Pie cuts

For piping, I suggest searching for "mandrel bends" on http://www.jcwhitney.com - they have really cheap mandrel bends of all sizes.
