Have any of you F50 owners dealt with tension rod bushings needing replaced? Did you have any leakage of any type lubricant from the bushing? If I have one just starting to leak, how fast or important is replacement? I have no steering shudder, no brake shudder yet. No abnormal tire wear yet. Anyone remember the cost or options? Press? Whole rod?
Thanks guys-

The grease that leaked out of mine was a grey color, almost like some sort of graphite filled grease. I'm not sure if that changed 15 years later when your Q was built.

I was able to borrow the use of a shop press, and press in new bushings. If I had to do it again, I don't have access to that press, so I'd strongly consider replacing the whole part just because it's easier... at that point you could buy either just the bushings, or the whole rod.

I guess it depends on how full the wallet is feeling that day. :D

Check prices with one of the online Infiniti parts places. I like www.orderinfinitiparts.com pretty well.
