I have 02 Q with about 170k km (107k miles) on it. My service engine soon light came on today and its steady. The message says that fuel filter connector might be loose or something like that. Does anyone else has this problem? What can it be?

I had the transmission fluid replaced this saturday. And the light came on today. Everytime I take it to Infiniti something happens right after that. Its the 4th time its happening.Should I take it to some independent shop?

If the fuel filter connector is lose why don't you just get an FSM and reconnect it. go here for FSM: http://www.phatg20.net/index.p...id=13.

Or find another shop to do it for you but. Are you sure its not you fuel cap or something else.

But I wouldn't even drive it I am not sure how it even starts LOL.

Take it back to the dealership and have them run the diagnostic again. Have them double check and clear the error code. I have not experience or heard of where replacing the trans fluid will cause the service engine soon.

So far my F50 has 82K miles on it and knock on wood has not yet seen an error code.

If I'm not mistaken (I have not check the FSM), the fuel filter is located inside the tank.

Good luck Ahmed!

Wow that sucks if that true so you have to drop the tank to get to it every year or 6 months. But all of the cars I have ever seen heard of or worked on have it in the engine bay.

It was probably some cap. I'll note down the exact message.

I'll check the error code at auto zone or some other independent shop.

I dont trust the dealer anymore. I have bad experiences with them. I have already started going to Nissan for oil changes.

You can do better and trust the quality by doing the oil change yourself.

The warning is now gone. Can it be due to bad gas?

My CEL light does not come on when I have bad gas, but the windows remain down.
