Did any of ya'll try to start the car using the regular key instead of the key FOB? My car wont start using the key that comes inside the FOB. The engine will crank but one fully start. But when I use the FOB, it starts immediately. I'm asking this cuz what if my FOB runs out of battery and i have to use the actual key to start the car and it wont start, i'll be stranded. Or is there a sequence that needs to be done when starting with just the normal key without using the FOB?

I have a 2005 Premium Q45

Key FOB must be used because its autheticated as the key for the car, where as the metal Key has no chip in it and can not be authenticated as the key to the car.

Can you open the door with the key? If so, you should keep a spare battery in the glove box.

The purpose of the Metal key is for opening the door and unlocking the steering wheel, for emergency only. You will NOT be able to start the car without the Key fob. I have the Original Key card and that is what it states. I ried to start it with the metal key and it will not start.
