Weight and strength? The most important specifications!

Front might be a little too far outboard. Not sure on an F50.

Seriously doubt ADR is an upgrade from stock wheel in terms of quality.

Well I am more less looking to try them out... Guy said I could roll on them for the weekend.

I am wanting to put a set of Staggered Wheels and tires on the Q45, and give it a new look at the same time.

Since mine is white, I wanted to go with a Black inner, w a nice Chrome Lip.

The previous owner of my car paid 1500 for the wheels on mine. Straight from Infiniti, I just am trying to get rid of all the Chrome, and give it a new look. So easy easy... Brian

Back to function vs. fashion then.

Front tires way under specification, so not safe at speed or in severe manuevers. How will you test them?

Ask previous owner if he is moving on for fashion reasons, or did they not function properly? Will he tell you the truth? Does he know the truth?

Which do you value?

Staggered set-up will not help understeer.

If it is all about looks, might want to go to the VIP forum for approval as they will put anything on their "low and slow" rides without regard to real world performance. In fact, for them, it seems the heavier, more gaudy and worse the fit, the better!

Well... I had the sizes wrong the fronts are 8.5 and the rear 9.5.

You may be right take it the VIP forum, but there is nothing going on in there on F50's..

I said in the open post, tires are only for short term.. But I get your point.

I think why spend 500 bucks for something that really is for looks, when really you need to spend 5500 to get the same look but with performance. right? Trust me if I didnt have a hobby going each season, I would do just that.. but the wife says no..

Ideally would love some 360 Wheels

Really good forged wheels can be had for new in the $2500-$3000 range. Less if you hit a sale.

Like I always say, determine the tire first, then obtain the best wheel you can get to accomodate it. The tire is the only part of the car in contact with the road so it determines most of the car's performance, provided fashionable owner hasn't hung a lot of weak and untrue unsprung extra mass on the suspension corners. Get the Goodyear245/45-18 F1 GS D3 and you will be quite pleased until it snows. They are on my wife's car, but we seldom have snow and we certainly don't trust the yahoos around here who think they can drive in it. Strange thing is, that was mostly true in Seattle also.

The laws of physics are not transcended by fashion.

I can personally attest to those tires also. When I bought the car it came with BBS 17" wheels with the Eagle F1 GS-D3 tires, the same that came on Corvettes. They are probably one of the best all around performance tires for the price. I do have to say that when they get down to the wear bars they are really quite noisy from15-25 mph.

I had 255-45 17, these are too wide because they rub on the front when turning almost fully (U-turn).

Guys thanks But I am over the tire deal... Going with Goodyear F1... I have found a set of 4.

But I am really wanting to change out the wheels. The more I search the more I like the Staggered Look..

Why anyone would want to do that to a nice car like yours is way beyond me. Has to ride worse than a buckboard going across a praiarie dog colony.

Black centers were so hot with the homies about 5 years ago.

Well I appreciate all the feed back...

The same set of wheels and tires, I have the guy down to basically giving them to me...

I just need to know if the offset is going to work.. Let me decide if the ride, or etc is bad, and my thoughts...

I just am wanting to loose all the chrome... If I end up with these wheels I am going to have the black turned to the Annodized color on the rear lip, the goldy/bronze color...

So anyone got the offsets of factory??

RTFSM!

Once again, weight, strength, hubcentricity, trueness trump color and finish appearance. The latter two are mostly cosmetic as any finish will have to be maintained..

UMM thanks I guess

Try to keep in mind each is to there own.. I do understand your points and they are very valid...

I just am not incline to spend 3K for wheels, that I can buy for 600 bucks, with wheels and tires... This is looks... wise for the most part... Yes like I said before wish I could buy some 360 Forged Wheels... but I save that bling money for my other Hobbies..

The more I roll on stocks the more it grows on me, but I just like owning a car that stands out and has a little different look to it..

I think F50 are pretty rare!

If not rare enough.......lots more money or something really tasteless.

Remember, wheels serve an important function, so don't compromise there as it affects your safety.

If you just want blinging rotary anchors, check out the VIP Forum. They care not a whit about neither dynamic performance nor safety. For them, it's all about static looks in the driveway.

Honestly though, Brian, if they were that unsafe would the manufacturers be able to sell them? I am not looking to start an argument, just want to see what you mean by how 'unsafe' aftermarket wheels are.

X2. You've got 6 posts here Brian and not in ONE did you answer the guys question. This is an example of the "flotsum" that you always complain about, practice what you preach, say it "once" though most would prefer not at all.

Well after the Holidays, a buddy has photoshop the wheels on the car...

Not really me, or at least not the F50.

I think I am just going to stick with tires...

Thanks and delete this thread, not one thing in it, helps anyone or helped me.
